Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 9 and 10)

Centrally sponsored scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice for Scheduled Caste students studying full-time in Class 9 or 10 in a government school or a recognised school. Parents' or guardians' income from all sources must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh a year. The scholarship is given for a class only once, so a student who repeats a class does not get it again for that class. Apply on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) through your state. For 2026-27 the NSP last date is usually 31 Oct; one state notice (Meghalaya) shows 30 Oct 2026 for its students, so no date is set here. Confirm the date on NSP.

Amount / benefit: Day scholar / hosteller rates (confirm on NSP)
