INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) — DST
Department of Science and Technology scheme to keep top students in the natural and basic sciences. For students aged 17-22 who have just passed Class 12 and join B.Sc./B.S./Integrated M.Sc./M.S. in natural or basic sciences. You must be in the top 1% of your Class 12 board, or have a top rank in JEE/NEET (see the DST notice for the exact cut-offs each year). A gap year after Class 12 is not allowed. About 12,000 awards a year, for up to 5 years with yearly renewal on marks. No income limit. The application window is announced by DST each year; no 2026-27 date was confirmed.

How to apply, step by step
- Go to the INSPIRE portal (online-inspire.gov.in) and open the Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) section. Applications open once a year, so read the DST notice for the current window first.
- Register with your email ID and mobile number and verify both.
- Fill in your Class 12 board details (and JEE/NEET rank if you apply through the rank route), then your course and college details.
- Upload the scanned documents listed on this card.
- Submit the form and note down your application number.
- Keep checking the portal and your email for the selection list. The scholarship is renewed every year if you meet the marks condition in the scheme guidelines.

- INSPIRE पोर्टल (online-inspire.gov.in) पर जाकर Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) सेक्शन खोलें। आवेदन साल में एक बार खुलते हैं, इसलिए पहले DST की ताज़ा सूचना पढ़ें।
- अपनी ईमेल आईडी और मोबाइल नंबर से रजिस्टर करें और दोनों को वेरिफ़ाई करें।
- कक्षा 12 बोर्ड की जानकारी भरें (रैंक वाले रास्ते से आवेदन करें तो JEE/NEET रैंक भी), फिर कोर्स और कॉलेज की जानकारी भरें।
- इस कार्ड पर बताए गए दस्तावेज़ स्कैन करके अपलोड करें।
- फ़ॉर्म सबमिट करें और अपना आवेदन नंबर लिख लें।
- चयन सूची के लिए पोर्टल और अपना ईमेल देखते रहें। हर साल नवीनीकरण के लिए योजना के दिशानिर्देशों में दिए अंक चाहिए।
